Project Lead the Way

Across all grade levels at Huntingburg Elementary in a school-wide effort, teachers lead students through real world scenarios and situations that reach each of our Indiana Science Standards by taking part in hands-on learning, team building, as well as communication and collaboration modules through Project Lead the Way. Each grade level course in PLTW takes students on a learning adventure through an online platform with an introduction to real world stories, live videos, hands on exploration  and critical thinking activities in which students become the experts and devise plans to help solve real world issues. The modules include learning how a computer codes with inputs and outputs, how to best build gardens in different areas dependent on multiple weather factors, learn how circuits work, and many more engaging activities to help our students at Huntingburg Elementary succeed  and excel in life as we prepare them to be career and college ready.
